our story

We've been on both sides of the financial equation.

Brad and Lucinda met in high school and have been building their life together ever since. Neither of them came from money. They know what it feels like to watch every dollar, to bring a calculator to the grocery store, and to fight for every financial milestone along the way.

Every major turning point in their careers came with a financial hit—leaving corporate firms, going independent, launching Finchly. They took every one of those hits on purpose, because they believed there was a better way to do this work. Those experiences didn't just shape who they are, they shaped how they show up for every client.

The traditional financial advisory world was built around a certain kind of client and a certain way of doing things. It wasn't designed for people who earn differently, think differently, or want a real relationship with the person managing their money. So Brad and Lucinda built that firm themselves.

Meet Brad + Lucinda

Brad Clark, CFP®

Lead Financial Advisor

Brad has been in the financial industry since 2013—but not in the way most advisors start. His first role was in compliance, supervising financial advisors and learning the industry from the regulatory side first. That foundation matters. He knows how the industry works, where the conflicts of interest live, and what it looks like when an advisor actually puts a client first versus when they don't.

From there he moved into large corporate advisory firms—the kind built around sales quotas, KPIs, and hitting numbers. He didn't think that was the right way to manage something as important as someone's finances. So he left. He became an independent advisor in 2020, so he could work with clients the way he always believed it should be done, with their best interests driving every decision. He then earned his CFP® designation in 2022.

When he's not working, Brad is usually wrenching on his Mazda Miata, competing in autocross events, or planning the next truck camper trip to somewhere with mountains and a river to relax by.

Lucinda Clark

Head of Client Strategy

Lucinda's background isn't in finance—and that's exactly what makes her so good at what she does. She spent years in healthcare recruiting managing operations, HR, risk management, and client relationships. She knows how to run a process, take care of people, and make something complicated feel manageable.

When she was unexpectedly laid off in 2023, it became the push she needed to join Brad full time and build something of their own. She hasn't looked back.

Lucinda runs the client experience at Finchly—onboarding, communications, and making sure every client feels like a person, not a file. She genuinely believes that financial stability creates healthier lives, better relationships, and stronger families. That belief drives everything she does here.

Outside of work, she's into brunches with friends, crafting, community work, and getting completely lost in epic fantasy books.

A lot of financial firms choose their niche based on portfolio size. We chose ours based on the kind of people we wanted in our corner every day. Content creators are creative, driven, and building something genuinely exciting—with financial lives that are just as complex. Irregular income, multiple revenue streams, business and personal finances woven together. Traditional advisors weren't built for that. We were—and we wouldn't have it any other way.
